house rules

By accepting this reservation, you are agreeing to our HOUSE RULES:

  • Not suitable for infants (under 2 years)

  • No smoking

  • No pets

  • No parties or events

  • The property is owned by A Step Away, LLC d/b/a A Step Away Cottage

  • You must be 25 years of age or older to rent the property

  • Self check-in with keyless entry keypad

  • The property is not child-proofed (i.e., no baby gates, electrical plug covers, cabinet locks, etc.), the property has stairs, and we do not offer a crib or pack n' play. If you are a parent or guardian of a small child and assume these risks, you are welcome to bring your children.

  • Strictly no smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes in or on the property

  • No use of candles or incense inside the property or on the porch

  • Guests may not use the indoor fireplace or the outdoor fireplace

  • No pets allowed other than service animals

  • Bicycles are not allowed inside the cottage; please leave them outside

  • The renter is responsible for damage to the building and furnishings, including, but not limited to, broken and missing items; if something is damaged during your stay, please report it as soon as possible so that it may be fixed.

You must also acknowledge

  • Must climb stairs

  • Security Deposit - $450 (if reserved through Airbnb)

 

CHECK OUT PROCEDURE

  1. Strip all beds that were used during stay and place dirty linens on the floor in each bedroom

  2. Place all used towels, hand towels and washcloths in tubs/shower

  3. Throw out all food/beverages

  4. Take out the trash and place in outside garbage can

  5. Place all used dishes in the dishwasher and run the dishwasher

  6. Check each room for personal belongings

  7. Turn off all lights

  8. Please make sure all doors and windows are locked when you leave
